Savannahs, being hybrids between the domestic housecat and the wild African Serval, are an exotic-looking cat with a hybrid personality. Their spots, large Serval-like ears, and expressive eyes are a few of the most striking features of the breed, while their boundless curiosity and borderline destructiveness in the name of exploration keep many Savannah owners on their toes. Our house has childproof locks on all the kitchen cabinets top and bottom, and we’ve even had to lock linen closets and entertainment center doors to prevent our cats from getting into everything they see.
The official TICA page for the Savannah breed has excellent information on the history and breed standard for this amazing cat. Find out more information on their website.
